8/12/2010: US Stock & Bond Mutual Funds See Net Inflows of $25 Billion in July 2010
Driven by ongoing demand for bond funds, US mutual fund investors added about $25 billion in net new cash to US stock and bond mutual funds in July 2010, according to Strategic Insight. Bond funds experienced net inflows of $30 billion in July, while equity funds saw modest net redemptions of $5 billion.
7/22/2010: $500 Billion In Net Flows To Mutual Funds Worldwide In First Half 2010
Despite a challenging second quarter, net flows to long-term mutual funds worldwide in the first half of 2010 reached $500 billion, twice as much as in 1H 2009, according to Strategic Insight, as institutional investors redeemed $625 billion from money market funds.
7/15/2010: Long-Term Funds Draw $176B in 1H 2010 Flows Despite Market Volatility
Led by robust demand for bond mutual funds as investors seek income amid a low-yield environment, US investors put $176 billion into stock and bond mutual funds (excluding ETFs) in the first half of 2010. Strategic Insight, a business intelligence provider to the fund industry, said that 1H inflows to bond mutual funds totaled $138 billion.

3/18/2009: February 2009 Fund Flows
Declines in both stock prices and investor confidence in February led to net outflows from US mutual funds during the month. Bond funds were a bright spot, continuing to garner inflows.
3/18/2009: February 2009 ETF Stats
At the end of February, there were 811 ETFs managing a total of $455.4 billion. Market declines impacted asset levels, as did some net outflows from equity ETFs (after inflows late in 2008).
1/21/2009: December 2008 Fund Flows
Fund redemptions slowed down in December as the worst of the stock and fixed-income market declines seemed to be over. In aggregate, net outflows from long-term funds were $19 billion in December.

Bios
Avi Nachmany, Executive Vice-President, is also the Research Director and co-founder of Strategic Insight. Today he oversees over 100 studies the firm publishes annually, spanning from innovations among U.S. funds and variable annuities to lessons and developments in the asset management business outside the U.S. In addition, Avi regularly consults with many of SI's clients. In his public role as an industry observer, Avi frequently comments to the media and has become a speaker in both U.S. and international forums. Avi received his MBA degree, with distinction, from NYU's Stern Business School.
Jag Alexeyev is Senior Managing Director of Strategic Insight Global. With the firm since 1993, Jag oversees the firms Europe and Asia databases, its research publications including Windows into the Global Asset Management industry, as well as customized research and consulting for international clients. Previously, he was a consultant at U.N. Conference on Trade and Development. Jag has degrees from Harvard University and the London School of Economics.
Daniel Enskat is Senior Managing Director of Strategic Insight Global. Since 2001, Daniel has led the development of SIs European and Asian fund research and consulting effort, and is widely sought out for presentations, discussions, and his perspective on the industry.
